WTC Mumbai in association with Maharashtra Centre for Entrepreneurship Development(MCED), Nanded organized a one day seminar on International Trade and Export Promotion” on 18th March 2016 at MIDC Seminar Hall, Nanded. While inaugurating the seminar Mr.Abhimanyu Kale IAS, CEO, Zilha Parishad, Nanded appreciated the good initiative of WTC Mumbai to organize a programme for the first time in Nanded for the Entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs in Nanded need proper direction to take their products to global market. WTC with their large network can be a good facilitator to the budding entrepreneurs in the region, he observed. Mr. Kale requested WTC to organize regular programmes to arrange in Nanded to take this momentum forward.

Mr. P.P.Deshmukh, Executive Director, MCED in his opening remarks mentioned the MoU of MCED, Aurangabad with WTC Mumbai which helped them to organize such a programme in Nanded. He also requested WTC to organize similar programmes in other parts of Vidarbha region which lacks entrepreneurship. Mr.Deshmukh narrated the various Sate policies for the Industrial development of Vidarbha region. Mr. Harshad Shah, Chairman, Cotton Seeds & Miller Association, Nanded gave an overview of growing Industries in Nanded and opportunities that can be tapped in the Global market with the help of WTC.

Mr.Eknath Birari, Expert in International Trade & Finance took a detailed session covering aspects of International Trade, Market Environment, Product Selection, Licensing Requirements, Trade Finance Options , etc. He also made an elaborate presentation on Export Promotion of Agri Products. The participants were very interactive with the faculty and were much motivated by the seminar. They have expressed their desire to join for specific courses on the subject to know the various aspects of International trade.

Earlier Mr.A.O.Kuruvila, Advisor-Trade & Education, WTC Mumbai, in his opening remarks, detailed the concept to WTC and the services and facilities provide at WTC Mumbai. He also explained how an entrepreneur can take benefit of the services for their global entry. He also highlighted the courses offered at WTC Mumbai and encouraged them to join for these programmes to sharpen their skill in export import business. Over 50 participants attended the seminar.
