He noted that Vietnamese companies are actively looking to expand their presence in India while also exploring new opportunities through strategic investments, manufacturing partnerships and technology collaborations across emerging sectors.”
“The country is witnessing growing demand for AI and hyperscale data centres, particularly in emerging financial and technology hubs such as Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam is targeting around 5,000 MW of AI and data centre capacity in the coming years, creating major investment opportunities in digital infrastructure, renewable energy and energy storage systems. We also invite Indian investors and EPC companies to participate in Vietnam’s deep-sea ports, offshore wind energy, logistics infrastructure and smart industrial projects, which offer strong potential for long-term bilateral collaboration.” Said Mr. Tung.
Dr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman, World Trade Center Mumbai and President, All India Association of Industries, said, “It is encouraging to witness the second Vietnam business delegation at WTC Mumbai within two days, reflecting the growing momentum in India–Vietnam economic relations and the expansion of cooperation beyond traditional sectors into AI, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, logistics, innovation and smart urban development. Vietnam’s progress in developing free trade zones and advanced financial ecosystems offers valuable opportunities for deeper bilateral collaboration.”
“India–Vietnam bilateral trade has already crossed nearly USD 16 billion, with both countries working towards a target of USD 30 billion by 2030. Commercial hubs such as Ho Chi Minh City and Mumbai share strong economic and cultural similarities, creating immense scope for trade, tourism and investment partnerships. We are also exploring the establishment of a Coffee Diplomacy Center at WTC Mumbai to further strengthen cultural and business engagement between the two countries.” Said, Dr. Kalantri.
